Ibora James said she “lives in the unknown” and is unsure of the future after overcoming the doctor’s life expectancy.
The 40-year-old cancer awareness activist, who has been battling bowel cancer for more than five years, announced in May that she had switched to palliative care.
Although she was told she could only have days to live, James continued to resist the odds and remained resilient to her stage 4 cancer.
Sharing an update on social media, James recently enjoyed a day at Royal Ascot with his brother while thinking he was “grateful.”
“I find myself living in an indefinite land without knowing what the future holds and for how long,” she said.

“It’s a very stressful place, because when I was discharged from the hospital more than a month ago, I was given days, maybe a week to live. And it seemed so to me. “

James added: “But as we all know, life is not going according to plan, so I’m just grateful for any extra time that the forces decided to give me.
So despite the tearful tears, I look at the sun, I smile and I think, wow, life is a funny thing, isn’t it !! You better enjoy! ”
Just last week, James also spoke of her surprise at surviving her doctor’s life expectancy diagnosis “once again.” However, this gave her more time to work on her Bowel Babe campaign.

Speaking to Lorraine at the time, James explained: “I have already outlived – once again – what I was told when I was sent home from the hospital! Even I’m a little surprised, but I think he has this sense of purpose to get involved and continue with the campaign. “
