Richmond RCMP said officers received a report of gunfire around 11 a.m.
Officers arrived to find two people dead at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds.
“Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act,” Cpl. Adriana O’Malley said, in an email.
“Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.”
The area will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time, according to police.
