PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets open their preseason tonight at Lincoln Financial Field, a rare preseason opener for both teams (Philadelphia and New York usually play each other in the final preseason game).
For the Eagles (+1 via Caesars Sportsbook), the starters are expected to play a run or two on Friday night. Zach Wilson is expected to start for the Jets as the team’s No. 1 offensive tackle, and the defense is also expected to play a run or two. Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he will bring out the starting offense after a good first series. Joe Flacco will take over for Wilson, followed by Mike White.
Gardner Minshew, who struggled in training camp, will step in for Jalen Hurts. Reid Sinnett will likely follow as he battles undrafted rookie Carson Strong for a roster spot, though Sinnett has created a huge gap at that spot.
