SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has denied sexual assault from a former flight attendant who allegedly paid the company $ 250,000 as part of a 2018 deal.
Musk tweeted Thursday after the story, saying the story should be “viewed through a political lens.”

Musk denied the sexual allegations in a brief statement to Business Insider, insisting there was “much more to this story.”

“If I was inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it will come to light,” he wrote, calling the story a “politically motivated hit song.”
The CEO of SpaceX asked for more time to respond, and although Business Insider gave him more time, he did not respond until the time for the press. Christopher Kardachi, the company’s vice president of legal affairs, told the paper: “I will not comment on any settlement agreements.”
SpaceX did not immediately respond to a request for comment from FOX Business after business hours.
Musk turned to the story on Twitter, saying the attacks on him should be seen as political.

In a follow-up tweet, Musk wrote, “For the record, these wild accusations are completely untrue.”

The flight attendant told her boyfriend that Musk had asked her to come to his private room during a 2016 flight for a “full body massage,” according to the statement. The officer reportedly found Musk “completely naked, except for a sheet covering the lower half of his body.” He reportedly exposed himself to her during the massage, touched her and urged her to “do more” in exchange for a horse. She refused.

The employee found that her work with SpaceX began to dry up after the incident, and in 2018 she contacted an employment lawyer in California and sent a complaint to the company’s human resources department with details of the episode.

SpaceX resolved the complaint after a session involving a mediator and Musk himself. The matter never reached the court.
In November 2018, Musk, SpaceX and the escort entered into an exit agreement, providing the escort with $ 250,000 in exchange for a promise not to sue.
