Trent Bould was at the top of his game as New Zealand rocked England’s highest order on Day 2 of the current third test at Heddingley in Leeds. After the Kiwis were collected for 329 in the first innings, Trent Boult took three gates, while England fell to 55 for six. Boult made three world-class deliveries to clean up the three best fighters in England – Alex Lees, Ollie Pope and Zack Crowley. After surprising left-hander Lees with a sharp out-swinger, Boult puzzled right-handers Pope and Crawley with two excellent swings.

In addition to Boult, Neil Wagner took two doors, while Tim Southee also scalped one.
However, England had a strong fight in the last session of the day, thanks in large part to the unbeaten partnership of Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton for the seventh goal.
Bairstow and Overton added undefeated 209 runs for the seventh goal as England finished Day 2 at 264/6, trailing New Zealand by just 65 runs.
Bairstow (130 not out of 126) took only 95 balls to score his 10th test. He also broke a century in the previous test in Nottingham.
Overton, on the other hand, remained undefeated at 89 and will strive to score their first century when the game resumes on Day 3.

Earlier, Daryl Mitchell celebrated his third century in the series, while New Zealand published a total of 329.
England lead the series three games 2-0 after beating New Zealand in the first and second tests of Lord’s and Trent Bridge, respectively.
