Eurovision 2023: Seven UK cities selected to host next contest | News

Seven British cities have been shortlisted as potential hosts for next year’s 67th Eurovision Song Contest.

Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle and Glasgow have gone through the first stage of the bidding process.

They were chosen from among 20 cities that expressed interest in hosting the competition after organizers decided it was too dangerous to hold it in Ukraine, which won this year’s event with the Kalush Orchestra, due to the ongoing war with Russia. The UK will host instead because competitor Sam Ryder came second.
