Everton have ruled out selling Anthony Gordon and Richardson to Tottenham in a double deal.

The Merseyside club will not support a package deal for the two players, although a deal involving Richardson and Harry Winx may still develop.

Ideally, Everton should sell to ease the financial pressure, and some fans have speculated that this may be the right time for Richardson to leave, with only two years left on his contract.

Richardson scored twice as many goals in the league as any other Everton player last season with 10

The club hopes to win a profit from the Brazilian striker, who was attracted by Watford for £ 35 million in 2018.

He was a key player for Everton last year, scoring twice as many Premier League goals as their next most productive player.

Anthony Gordon is less likely to leave, as the 21-year-old winger has just finished his first season as a regular in the Toffees first team and has a contract until 2025.

Winger Anthony Gordon impressed England U21 with four goals in seven games

He impressed England U21, scoring four goals in seven games since his debut last year.

Frank Lampard’s team narrowly avoided relegation last season, finishing four points above the relegation zone in 16th place.

Richardson may be a difficult substitute, but the club’s financial problems mean selling him can still be a good option.
