Ever since Frank Lampard became Everton’s manager, the Toffees have been associated with Chelsea players and youngsters. Most recently, Chelsea striker Hakim Ziec was mentioned in the links and was described as a player Lampard likes.
Until now, Chelsea’s native talent has been regularly associated with Everton. The names of Levi Colville, Connor Gallagher, Armando Broya and Billy Gilmore appeared in the Everton transfer rumors this summer. Now, the Chelsea first team player Zieh also has a player who is believed to admire Everton while the Moroccan is considering leaving.
Journalist Dean Jones spoke about Ziyech’s situation at Give Me Sport, saying Everton were one of many teams keeping an eye on the 29-year-old.
The changes at Chelsea are likely to lead Zieh to look for a new club, and Everton is one country that monitors the conditions around each exit.
In general, Frank Lampard is associated with all the local players from Chelsea, but I was told that he would also be interested in Zieh if the player wants to stay in the Premier League. (via Give Me Sport)
Everton have reportedly targeted Hakim Ziec in a transfer request
Ziyech failed to fit into Thomas Tuchel’s regular plans. The 29-year-old started just 14 Premier League games last season. In two years at Stamford Bridge, he scored 14 times in 83 games, failing to become a famous name in the starting lineup.
Dissatisfied with his current role in the team, Ziyech has applied for a transfer to Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail. The player prefers to play behind the striker and create goal opportunities, but Tuchel has preferred Mason Mount or Kai Haverz in this role, pushing Ziyech to play wide on the right.
Zieh is a long-term goal for AC Milan and they have reportedly started negotiations with the former Ajax man. Milan is confident that this time they can take the Moroccan national team, as the player is looking for a way out of Chelsea.
Everton have been mentioned as a stakeholder, but the Toffees will not spend a lot of money unless a massive clean-up of the team takes place and one of their valuable assets is sold. Chelsea will try to recover the maximum amount of £ 33 million they paid for Zieh.
Lampard knows Zieh well and would be interested in the 29-year-old if he wanted to leave Chelsea but stay in the Premier League. Instead, Toffees should focus on improving other areas or focus on cheaper options.
Should Everton pursue a deal for Hakim Ziec?
