“Exhaustion of every resource”: Extensive search for the missing boy Lindsay with autism is underway

Police in the Kavarta Lake area say they are “running out of resources” in their ongoing efforts to locate a missing 11-year-old boy, Lindsay, with autism.

Speaking to reporters at the Cavarta Lakes Police Department on Monday morning, Sergeant. Deb Hagarty said Draven Graham was last seen on Sunday, June 12, at about 3 p.m., at his home in Lindsay, Ont. The boy lives on Queen Street, near the Skugog River, she said.

He is described as four feet tall and 10 inches tall.

Draven, who was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and dark jogging pants, wore no shoes and a white tablet.

Hagarty, who said there was no indication that Draven had been abducted, told the media that since he disappeared, he had been seen walking north on Colborne Street East, near Rivera Park.

The boy’s clothes have since been found in the area, she said.

Police from several jurisdictions, including the OPP, along with volunteers searched overnight for Draven, whom Hagarty said had “limited verbal skills” and “serious irritation” to touch. Searchers stay on foot and by boat. They also use drones, helicopters and police dogs.

“(Draven) likes to hide and is unlikely to come out if she is called by name,” she said, adding that one of the best ways to help people is by conducting a thorough search of their property.

Police are also asking everyone with video surveillance in the area to contact them.

Anyone who may have seen Draven Graham has been asked to call Cavarta Lakes Police at 705-324-5252.
