The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office was called in to investigate a $ 800,000 fire in a house in Byron that night.

London firefighters responded to a fire at 365 Foyston Rd., Near Byron Baseline and Boler Roads, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The crews used a defensive strategy to put out the flames and managed to control the fire in the home, the fire department in London said.

No casualties were reported.

Ontario fire investigators and London police were on the scene Saturday afternoon. Investigators will work to determine the origin, causes and circumstances of the fire.

The damage is estimated at $ 800,000, fire officials in London said.

The Provincial Fire Department is investigating all fatal and suspicious fires involving explosives related to drugs or high-loss fires, including those estimated to cost more than $ 500,000.
