VIDEO footage captured by several members of the public shows firefighters rushing to tackle the blaze at the 7bone restaurant.
Fire crews were called just before 8pm to the blaze in Portswood Road, Southampton.
There are 15 fire engines from across Hampshire at the scene.
At the start of the incident, there were about 75 firefighters.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service will dispatch crews to assist and crews will be tackling the fire for several hours.
The road will be closed until morning.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
There is an investigation team and a police drone in the area.
No injuries were reported.
