OLG says Ontario is “full of winners” after winning four prizes of $ 1 million in the Lotto Max draw on Tuesday.
In a statement Wednesday, OLG said the June 21 jackpot had not been won, but four $ 1 million Maxmillions tickets each sold in York, Peel, Oshawa and OLG.ca.
In addition, a $ 500,000 ticket was sold in the Niagara area, OLG said.
The next Lotto Max draw on Friday will offer a $ 65 million jackpot plus approximately 10 MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Last week, the winner of the $ 1 million Lotto Max prize lost his money after the ticket expired.
Someone who bought a Lotto Max ticket in Toronto won the Maxmillions prize in the draw on June 15, 2021, but the money was never requested.
Lotto Max winners have one year from the date of the draw to receive their prize.
“It’s unfortunate and it happens sometimes, big prizes like this rarely go unclaimed,” OLG spokesman Tony Bitonti told CTV News Toronto.
Bitonti said the winning ticket was never checked at a retail store or the OLG app, which means the winner probably lost it.
The corporation reminds players to check their OLG.ca tickets using the OLG app or call 416-870-8946.
