The Frenchman set a new world record for the most bungee jumping in a 24-hour period.
Francois-Marie Deabon made 765 jumps in Pitlochry, Pertshire, easily beating the previous record set by New Zealander Mike Hurd in 2017, who made 430 jumps.
Starting his feat on Tuesday morning, Dibon surpassed the previous world record after just 12 hours of jumping and after a 50-minute break continued to jump all night before ending on Wednesday morning.
Dibon, who works as an actuary in Sweden, had previously spoken about how bungee jumping helped him overcome his fear of heights and said he chose Scotland as his location because of his love for the country and its people.
Each jump was from a height of 40 meters and was observed by the Highland Fling Bungee based in Killiecrankie, Pitlochry.
Joan Brent, a Guinness World Record judge who confirmed the record, said Dibon’s efforts were “inspiring”.
Speaking to the Guardian about his victory, Dibon said he felt “happy and blessed” and that he could not have achieved without the support of the Highland Fling Bungee team.
He said: “I feel great, I feel very happy. I feel grateful to the team that has been around me for the last 24 hours, which has brought me its energy that has sustained me to the end. ”
Dibon said he had no doubt they would break the record, but he was surprised at how quickly he surpassed the previous estimate and in the end by how much.
He said: “Our goal was to get high, but not so high. We knew what we could do, but we had never trained so much or for so long… but we had thinking. So when we started yesterday, we didn’t ask ourselves any questions, we were just in the moment. “
For Dibon, the hardest part of the 24 hours was skipping everything the Scottish climate had to offer.

“I think it was raining [that was the hardest part] “It was quite cold, but that was to be expected, of course,” Dibon said. “But other than that, nothing was really difficult. Everything went well, we were really lucky. “
In addition to celebrating with his team, Dibon is now planning a vacation. “My body deserves a lot of rest, so I will,” he said. “I will celebrate with my team, of course, because they have given so much and they really deserve this record, this is a collective record.”
