The meeting of Man United 2022/23 from the Premier League
Manchester United have told Cristiano Ronaldo that he is not for sale.
United were outraged by reports that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes had met with new Chelsea owner Todd Boelli to potentially move the Portuguese to Stamford Bridge. Earlier this week, there were allegations in Portugal that Mendes had offered the 37-year-old Bayern Munich player because Ronaldo was disappointed with the club’s lack of action in the transfer market after the appointment of Eric ten Haag as manager.
But high-level sources at Old Trafford have made it clear that Ronaldo is not going anywhere – and that Ten Hag has already included him in their plans for next season. “Cristiano is not for sale,” the source said. “We want – and we fully expect – him to be with us next season.”
Marcus Rashford and Eric ten Haag are at odds over the star’s missed future role at Manchester United. The idea for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo was “broadcast” by the new owner of Chelsea in the meeting of Jorge Mendes
United broke the bank to bring Ronaldo back to the club last summer, giving him a two-year contract worth £ 500,000 a week. His return was to make United champions – and he fulfilled his part of the deal, scoring the best with 24 goals.
But United finished sixth, 35 points behind champions Manchester City, after a campaign in which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked and Ralph Rangnik failed to reverse the team’s fate.

Ten Hague has been hired to bring back years of glory.
But United have refused to meet Barcelona’s £ 80m bid for Frankie de Jong’s best target, while free agent Christian Eriksen is still deciding whether to accept a move to Manchester and Ajax defender Iurien Timber has said he remains in Amsterdam.
Ronaldo was obviously impressed with the decision to appoint Ten Hag. But it is speculated that he is now looking for a way to escape – although CEO Richard Arnold told fans last week that money is not a problem for new signings.
It is clear that United are a different club from the one that Ronaldo joined from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 and left six years later to join Real Madrid in a world record for a £ 80 million deal.
He moved to Juventus before flirting with rival City to get Sir Alex Ferguson to lead the charm offensive to convince the striker that he should return to United.
