Gas prices are down in Manitoba, but will they hold? This expert weighs in

There’s been some relief at the pumps for Manitoba drivers to close out the work week, but will it stick?

In Winnipeg, the price of fuel fell to $1.90 a liter on Friday, with Canadian prices also falling.

Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, said that’s probably as good as it gets in terms of gas prices right now.

He said that although fuel prices in the market continued to fall, prices at gas stations did not change much.

“I think in many ways this kind of sticky pricing among gas retailers is something that’s going to become a growing concern for drivers in Western Canada,” he said,
