Moloney stopped Palicte with a brutal technical knockout in the third round

Jason Moloney, after four battles in the state, returned to Australia with a statement.

The 31-year-old scored a technical knockout in the third round of Aston Palikte in a battle in the legal category, the battle for the main support of George Cambosos Jr. against Devin Haney.

Moloney (24-2, 19 KOs) overtook Palicte with a short right hand before a series of punches led referee Ignatius Misailidis to intervene when Palicte fell for the second time. The stop was 2:35.

Andrew Moloney’s twin brother, who also had to compete with this card, Jason Moloney was ranked No. 7 by ESPN in the lightweight category. The victory was the third in a row for Moloney after losing by knockout in the seventh round to United Champion Naoya Inoue in 2020.

Palikte (28-5-1, 23 KOs), 31, from the Philippines, lost for the third time in six matches.

Brown scored a mandatory knockout in the first round over the Fa

Lucas Brown, 43, achieved a stunning technical knockout result in the first round of the Junior Fa heavyweight division.

Brown (31-3, 27 KO) achieved the biggest victory of his career in 2016, when he scored a technical knockout in the 10th round of a faded version of Ruslan Chagaev, but has since lost three distance fights, including a technical knockout in the first round last year of journeyman Paul Galen.

Fa (19-2, 10 KO), a 32-year-old from New Zealand, is competing for the first time since rejecting his decision to former heavyweight title holder Joseph Parker in February 2021.
