Environment Canada is currently monitoring a strong thunderstorm located 56 km southwest of Harmony, which could bring with it gusts of wind at a speed of 90 km / h and hail the size of nickel.
The thunderstorm caused a warning of a severe thunderstorm for Sault Ste. Areas of Marie Island and St. Joseph.
Environment Canada says the storm is moving northeast at 90 km / h.
Potential areas that could be affected by the storm include: St. Joseph’s Island, Solon, Harmony, McLennan, Lake McCluskey, Lake Carterton, Lake Desbaraz, Lake God, Lake Tower, Portlock, Lake Gibbone, Lake Gibboni Rock Lake, Ottertail Lake, Cloudslee, Basswood Lake, Bright Lake and Red Rock Lake.
