Harry Styles fans are “traumatized” when a man throws himself “head first” from the Ibrox grandstand in the crowd

Harry Styles fans watched in horror as a man fell from a stand in the crowd downstairs at his crowded show at Ibrox Stadium last night.

Fan Tracy Brown told how she heard a disgusting bang when the man, believed to be in his 20s, fell “head first” – and thought he was dead.

She said the man fell from the club deck, above the main grandstand, towards the end of the show.

His condition is currently unknown.

Tracy ran down two stairs to seek help for the injured man, while other fans comforted her daughter and friends.

Tracy, a pharmacist from Ruderglen near Glasgow, said: “We were directly facing the stage.

“We were in row F, on the second level, below the club deck, a little to the right.

“He just got off the club deck upstairs and landed right in front of us, there were people around.

“People were throwing water and then everyone screamed and jumped.

“I heard the blow and my daughter told me what had happened. Immediately someone started resuscitating him.

“He landed in the line in front of us, I was trying to protect the children from that – I thought he was dead.

“I was only four at the end of the line and since I am a pharmacist, I decided to go and do everything I could to help.

“When someone started doing CPR, I ran upstairs, but I had to go down two main stairs to find someone.

“The security guards were actually standing in front of Ibrox, and I just grabbed one of them by the arm and said, ‘Quick, you have to come, someone’s down.’

“They ran away and followed me, and in the end there were about six guards working on it.

The 45-year-old man revealed that dozens of fans who witnessed the incident were left worried.

But she said everyone had come together to try to go through a traumatic experience.

She explained: “It was really, a very high altitude where he fell and there was a crack when he landed.

“I had children with me who were 13, 14 and 15 years old. We were trembling and crying, everyone was traumatized.

“But everyone around was so supportive. When I ran for help, a woman in the back pulled the children in turn, and when I returned, everyone hugged.

“Everyone was trying to help each other. Sometimes you see videos of such things and people with phones stand and take pictures of it, but there was none of that.

“Everyone just made sure everyone else was fine. I couldn’t sleep last night because I was thinking about it.”

A Scottish police spokesman said: “Officers have been notified of a man falling from a club deck at Edmiston Drive, Glasgow at around 10.15pm on Saturday 11 June 2022.

“There were no suspicious circumstances and the man was monitored by medical staff.
