He met PCSO, fined for sexual intercourse on a bench in a London park in broad daylight

A former police public support officer has been fined £ 500 for having sex in a London park while on duty.

Metropolitan police are investigating Kevin Phillips of Milton Road, Croydon, after he was photographed by the public earlier this year at Dog Kennel Hill Park in East Dulwich, south London.

The video was posted online, viewed thousands of times and tagged in Met within hours.

Police arrested Phillips, a 56-year-old married father of two, at his home on March 31.

He was detained and charged with violating public decency. He was also removed from the service where he worked in the road and transport department before resigning.

Phillips, a married man with two young daughters, confessed to the crime when questioned after the incident and blamed his behavior on stress and medical condition.

At a hearing in Croydon Magistrates’ Court on April 1, he pleaded guilty and was released to appear in Croydon’s court on Thursday for sentencing.

Chief Superintendent Simon Owens, who heads the Metropolitan Road and Transport Police Command, said Phillips’s behavior was “repulsive” and “contrary to everything that worthy and metropolitan police officers stand for.”

He added: “He has disappointed many of his colleagues and the public we serve. There is absolutely no place in the Met for such horrific behavior.

“I hope that such swift action will reassure the public about how seriously we take the breaches of trust and how steadily we will work to eradicate those who undermine the service.”

Philips was arrested after an investigation led by the Professional Team for Domestic Violence and Sexual Crimes of the Forces, a unit set up in January.
