A helicopter crashed in a field in a village in North Yorkshire, according to police.
Emergency services are at the scene near Bentham Road, near Burton in Lonsdale, North Yorkshire police said.
The incident happened shortly before noon and people were “urged” to avoid the area.
Burton is an agricultural area near the border with Lancashire and Cumbria.
