Helicopters flying for Fortis

The helicopters will be flying low over the Okanagan from mid-July to late August as FortisBC conducts aerial inspections of its high-pressure gas transmission lines.

Talon helicopters will fly over municipalities in British Columbia to perform LiDAR mapping of the lines. Routine inspections are intended to ensure FortisBC that their natural gas system continues to operate safely and reliably.

The flight time for these helicopters will be minimal and no ground related work will be done during these flights.
