Hill police are looking for a Holderness Drain from Holderness Road – updates

Police are searching a section of the Holderness sewer in East Hull tonight (Sunday) and have sealed a section of the Holderness road.

Two police officers guarded the entrance to the sewer section, which was taped between Holderness Road and Salthouse Road. Two others, dressed in drafting equipment, can be seen searching the water.

An increased police presence could be seen in the area with six police cars parked on Holderness Road. Several police vans were seen parked on the grassy side of the sewer.

Police officers could be seen on the bank of the sewer. A witness told Hull Live that she saw a research van. Another man said he asked police what was going on, but it was continued.

A number of spectators were seen watching the search from the bridge over the sewer. On Salthouse Road, the sewer was lined with police guards and a police van.

Humberside police contacted for comment. Updates will be published here when we receive them.
