Fire crews are dealing with a huge fire in Bury tonight. The blaze is believed to have broken out in a building in Radcliffe on Tuesday night (May 31st), with huge clouds of black smoke visible from the site.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said it was currently at the scene of the fire on Milltown Street.
They warned that the fire was generating a large cloud of smoke and residents in the area were advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
Spectators say they have seen a huge number of firefighters as crews rush to deal with the blaze. Photos shared on social media show that clouds of thick smoke can be seen from a distance as they swell over the city.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for more information, as have Greater Manchester Police.
