IHIT names Maple Ridge homicide victim in Friday’s double shooting – B.C.

The BC RCMP Integrated Homicide Team has released the identity of the victim of Friday’s double shooting in Maple Ridge.

Kashmir Ali, 35, is listed as the homicide victim for the shooting, which took place at a home in the 22600 block of 119 Ave.

“We are working to identify witnesses who may shed light on what led to this tragedy,” said Sgt. Timothy Pierotti, IHIT spokesperson.

“We are appealing for all of Ms Ali’s associates to come forward and speak to police as we work to develop a timeline of events.”

Ali was transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries, according to police.

A man was also transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Police said investigators do not believe there is a risk to the public.
