Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has asked Eric ten Haag to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to leave a mark as Manchester United boss.
It was a terrible season for United and Ronaldo was the only savior with an emotional comeback and 18 goals in his name. United managed to get into the top six and this was mainly due to the influence of Ronaldo throughout the season.
However, Carragher called on Ten Hag to make a big statement and sell the five-time Ballon d’Or winner this summer. And so he can follow as Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola in the beginning, as they intend to continue.

Ronaldo is one of the greatest players to decorate the game and certainly in conversation as the best he has ever worn a United shirt. But the Portuguese star will turn 38 next season and Carragher feels as if Ten Hag can’t start his recovery with an old striker leading the line.
Carragher mentioned what both Guardiola and Klopp did when they were appointed, explaining how they are not afraid to make changes that are considered controversial. And Carragher called on Ten Hag to do the same, as he said in The Overlap: “Right now I’m thinking about Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
“When Pep came into Man City, he just said, ‘Joe Hart, no.’ Klopp came to Liverpool, they had brought players under the leadership of Brendan Rodgers this summer.

Ronaldo has been linked with a relegation this summer due to United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, but now it looks like he will fulfill his two-year contract. But if Ten Hague accepts Carragher’s advice, then Ronaldo will not have that opportunity.
