Jennifer Lopez seems to use gender-neutral pronouns to represent her son

A video circulating on TikTok has sparked interest from Jennifer Lopez fans to find out why she chose to introduce her daughter Emma Munis, using gender-neutral pronouns instead of the traditional way.

Unusual introduction

The controversy erupted last Thursday when the singer performed some of her hits at Dodger Stadium to entertain the sixth annual Blue Diamond Gala of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

At one point during her musical number, the 52-year-old singer invited her 14-year-old daughter Eme Maribel to share the scene with her. However, to introduce her to her fans, she uses the pronouns “they” and “they” in many cases.

“(The last time) we participated together was in a big stadium like this and I always ask them to sing with me, but they don’t want to. So this is a very special occasion because they are very, very busy, reserved and expensive. They cost me when they go out, but they are worth every penny, because they are my favorite duet couple of all time. So, if I can, “said the Bronx Diva.

In this way, the daughter of salsa singer Mark Anthony, joined the show and delighted the audience by singing Christina Perry’s ballad “A Thousand Years”.

One user response

After noticing the unusual event, a social media user applauded the singer’s initiative, which for him is an act of solidarity that supports the girl for having sexual preferences different from most of her generation.

“They” is the way Amy identifies. It was Jay Lo who shared this information. It’s beautiful to see her supporting her daughter, “she said.

So far, no one on Jennifer Lopez’s team has commented on or supported the fan’s interpretation.
