Details have been released of the funeral of father-of-two John Steele, who died after falling from a fire in Larne.
uneral Times said Mr Steele, who died “suddenly”, was a much-loved son of Jackie and Artie and a dear father to Caitlin and Macy-Lee.
A service for Mr Steele will be held on Thursday 14th July at 2pm at his home on Lindara Drive in Larne before his removal to Larne Cemetery.
The obituary added: “He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family.”
Mr Steele fell to his death from the top of a 50ft pyre in Antiville on Saturday night.
The pyre has since been dismantled, but the much larger Craigyhill bonfire is awaiting official confirmation that it has broken the world record for the tallest bonfire ever built. Builders from Craigyhill said they completed it in memory of Mr Steele.
A JustGiving webpage was set up on Sunday to raise money to help his family pay for the funeral.
The rising amount currently stands at around £7,000.
