Johnny recently set off with Jeff Beck and teamed up with the legendary guitarist to record a new studio album, which will be released in July.
The 13-song collection includes two new Depp originals and an eclectic mix of cover songs ranging from iconic artists such as Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and John Lennon to alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
The upcoming album, which is expected to be released on July 15, is titled 18.
“When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. “We’re going to joke about how we felt again at 18, so it’s just been the title of the album,” Jeff, 77, said in a statement on the album, according to Billboard.

In keeping with their fond teenage memories evoked by the music, the two artists decided to use an 18-year-old illustration of themselves as Jeff Sandra’s wife for the album’s cover.
For Johnny, who grew up listening to Jeff’s music, collaboration is a dream come true.
“It is a great honor for me to play and write music with Jeff, one of the greats and someone I now have the privilege of calling my brother,” Depp said in a statement.
The duo first met in 2016 and quickly got together in conversations about guitars and cars as they tried to laugh.
Over the years, Jeff began to appreciate Johnny’s ability to write songs, prompting the former Yardbirds guitarist to play the song Welcome To Bushwacker, which appeared on the Hollywood Vampires Rise album (2019).

His musical endeavors came after his ex-wife, Amber, 36, admitted he could not afford the $ 8.3 million in damages awarded to him during an interview with Dateline last week.
It is unclear whether he will enforce the decision and ask Amber to pay the full amount.
His lawyers have hinted that this may not be the case, saying his motivation behind the lawsuit, which is to restore his reputation after Amber filed allegations of domestic violence at the 2016 Washington Op-ed, has already been met.
Speaking to NBC’s Dateline last week, she chose to focus on the positives after the process severely damaged her reputation and her job opportunities continued to decline.
The actress said that the advantage of not being employed at the moment is that she can be happy to be a full-time mother of her one-year-old daughter Una.

In a chat shown for the first time on Friday, Amber told Dateline host Savannah Guthrie that she was “terrified” to tell her side of the story.
The actress said that she was hurt by the “hatred and aggression” directed at her, but she did not regret that she filed the case.
“I know that the scariest, most frightening thing for anyone who talks about sexual violence is not to be believed, called a liar or humiliated,” she said.
Amber said she did not speak openly because she was “vindictive.”
“That would be a really bad way to get revenge,” she said. “As silly as it is to say it out loud, my goal is – I just want people to see me as a human being.”

Amber’s interview raised eyebrows as she repeated her slanderous allegations that he had beaten her.
Although he continues to make his claims, Amber insists he wants nothing more than to continue his life, telling Savannah: “I look forward to living my life and hope to have a long life ahead of me. And I will continue to go through this with my chin raised.
In the interview, Amber admitted that he “still loves” Johnny – although he called him a “liar” who struck the jury with his “fantastic game”, as well as: “I will [stand by my testimony] until my dying day. I know what happened to me. “I’m a survivor here,” she said.
“Until the day of my death, I will stand behind every word of my testimony.”
Case in point: His musical endeavors come after his 36-year-old ex-wife, Amber, admitted she could not afford the $ 8.3 million in damages awarded to her during an interview with Dateline last week.
Shortly before the interview aired, Amber’s team insisted they did not repent.
“If Mr. Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Guthrie for an hour and answer all her questions,” a MailOnline spokesman said as Amber called Johnny a “liar” and doubled. alleging that he had beaten and sexually assaulted her during their relationship.
Amber also released a “filler” with notes from her therapist, which she claims is new evidence proving her allegations of physical and sexual abuse against her by Depp – although the notes have already been rejected by the judge.
Amber handed over notes worth “years” kept by her therapist, describing cases in which she said that the actor “hit her, threw her against the wall and threatened to kill her.”
The judge in the trial against Johnny has already dismissed the remarks as a “rumor tale” and banned her team of lawyers from presenting the documents as evidence.

However, the actress is now in the public domain with the folder, which “dates back to 2011 from the very beginning of her relationship.”
Earlier this month, a jury ruled that Amber slandered her ex-husband by publishing an article about her surviving sexual abuse at the Washington Post.
She was ordered to pay Johnny $ 10 million in damages and $ 5 million in punitive damages, although the second payment was reduced to $ 350,000 under Virginia law under the judge.
She was awarded a relatively paltry $ 2 million in damages, which means that Johnny withdrew from the case of Amber, who owed him $ 8.35 million.
