After nearly a decade of working together, Kanye West is shooting at Adidas for “outright copying” of his Yeezy slides.
Adidas first unveiled its new Adilette slides earlier this month, which will retail for $ 55, and the 45-year-old rapper isn’t happy with that.
West took to Instagram on Monday afternoon, shaking up the shoe company and CEO Casper Rorstad for the slides he called “fake Yeezys.”

“THIS IS YOU, driving down the same street Kobe walked on.” Maybe I’m feeling that Mamba spirit right now, “West began, probably hinting that his deal with Adidas was coming to an end.
NBA legend Kobe Bryant signed a six-year contract with Adidas before being elected directly to high school in 1996, but Bryant was redeemed from his contract with Adidas in 2002.
After waiting a whole year as part of his retirement clause, he signed a new deal with Nike in 2003, where he remained until the end of his career.

West fired directly at Rorstad, saying, “For Casper, I can’t stand this screaming copy anymore.”
“To the whole culture of sneakers For every rapper, ball player or even if you work in the store. This is for anyone who wants to express themselves, but feels that he can not cause that they will lose their contract or be called crazy, “he continued.
“Courage is not to be afraid. Courage is overcoming your fear of your truth. That’s Ye with the blue paint on my face, “he added.

“These shoes represent the disrespect that people in power have for talent. This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by adidas themselves. I’m not going to talk to DC about this, nor is Kasper, come talk to me. “Happy Monday,” West concluded.
The West and Adidas clothing and footwear deal was first announced in December 2013, with the first collection scrapped in February 2015.
This line included his first shoe, called the Yeezy Boosts, which was limited to just 9,000 pairs available in New York alone … which sold out in 10 minutes.

It is unclear whether Adidas or Rorstad plan to respond publicly to West’s publication, although they have remained with him in the past.
Back in 2018, when West made conflicting comments that slavery was a “choice”, Rorstad defended West.
“Kanye was and is a very important part of our strategy and he was a fantastic creator and this is where I will leave him. I will not comment on every comment he or someone else makes, “Rorstad said in an interview with Bloomberg in May 2018.
