Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are leading many British stars in the Platinum Jubilee competition, which took place on the streets of London. The couple can be seen smiling and waving from the top of a double-decker bus celebrating the 1990s – part of a number of decades-long buses representing every 10 years of the Queen’s reign.
Other guests on the bus from the ’90s included violinist Vanessa May, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, hairdresser Sam McKnight, model Erin O’Connor and Bridgerton star Phoebe Danever, who was born in the mid-1990s. The two-story house featured images from the decade, covering countries from Harry Potter books to ’90s advertising campaigns – tuned to the soundtrack of Spice Girls and Oasis hits.

Moss wore an appropriate patriotic Union Jack blazer for the occasion, over a black dress with red heels by Vivienne Westwood, while Campbell chose a beige strapless dress and sunglasses.

They were joined by other buses full of famous British people – from the bus from the 50s of the last century, led by the singing Cliff Richard; until the 1960s, starring a number of British television stars of the period; 70s, thundering disco hits; The 1980s, surrounded by skateboarders and breakdancers carrying shells; and the 2000s, which were a celebration of the festival culture and sports heroes of the Noughties.

Other stars have appeared in the competition’s legendary legend Joan Collins, designer Zandra Rhodes, model Tuigi and singer Ed Sheeran. The story of James Bond was also marked by a fleet of historic cars from the movies, along with hundreds of dancers, musicians, acrobats and puppeteers in fantastic costumes.

The competition was divided into four actions; the first, “For the Queen and the Country”, consists of a military parade with 1,750 people and 200 horses. The other three acts were “The Time of Our Lives”, “Let’s Celebrate” and “Happy and Glorious”.
The royal family watched from the main seats in front of Buckingham Palace, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, along with Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were also spotted enjoying the action from the stands with their families.

The competition was the grand finale of a four-day platinum anniversary event, including the annual Trooping of the Color, Thanksgiving and the Platinum Party live concert in front of Buckingham Palace.
