Kanye West is out and Kid Cudi is on Rolling Loud Miami – an interesting swap considering the two have been battling for the past few months.
Festival organizers made the announcement Sunday, saying that — for reasons beyond their control — Kanye won’t be performing at their event later this month as one of three headliners … and in his place, Scott will step in to take up the mantle .

Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Sheriff and Matt Zingler also told TMZ… “We’ve been looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We’ve spent months working with him and his performance team. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer perform. It’s the first time a headliner has done our show, and while we don’t take it lightly, we wish him all the best.”
They added: “We are looking forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.”
Kid Cudi himself confirmed the news, posting the new lineup on his IG story. It’s unclear why Ye pulled out, but that’s been his modus operandi lately — you’ll recall that he also pulled out of Coachella at the last minute, with no explanation. There, too, they had to scramble at the last minute for a new act.
On top of this latest news, of course, is the fact that Cudi has officially disowned Ye … publicly stating that their friendship is over after Ye took a few jabs at him for being friends with Pete Davidson.
He even clarified afterward that he and Kanye still aren’t cool, despite the fact that they collaborated on a Pusha T song — which KC said would be the last time they work together. So him being the guy to take Kanye’s place is pretty much full circle in all of that.
As for Ye…he’s been relatively low lately. Despite showing up for Diddy’s big moment earlier this summer — the guy hasn’t been as visible as he was earlier in the year … which we guess some might consider a good thing.
