Kim Kardashian’s dream of attending the platinum anniversary celebrations has been shattered

She may be the Queen of Celebrities, but Kim Kardashian’s dream of joining the official platinum anniversary celebrations in the UK has been shattered.

Despite her best efforts, Buckingham Palace officials rejected her request to attend a platinum party at the palace on Saturday.

Representatives of the 41-year-old star – who landed in the UK with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, this week – asked for tickets, but the palace refused the American couple, as well as publicists on the BBC, which will broadcast the show.

Kim was so determined to attend that a source told the Daily Mail that she was trying to buy tickets in another way – and even said she didn’t mind “non-VIP” tickets.

They said: “Kim rarely refuses to attend an event, so it was quite surprising, especially since she doesn’t visit the UK often. Kim and Pete love the royal family and really wanted to be a part of this special holiday.

It is unclear whether the anniversaries were the only reason for the couple’s trip to London.

People like Queen, Diana Ross and Niall Rodgers will perform at the event, while Sir David Attenborough and David Beckham will perform.

About 10,000 tickets were distributed by public vote, and 7,500 were given to key employees, those in the armed forces, volunteers and charities.

Members of the royal family are expected to attend on behalf of the queen, who is “walking” but will watch on television from Windsor Castle.

Kim’s representatives declined to comment when they contacted MailOnline.

On Thursday night, the Queen symbolically led the lighting of a series of lighthouses in the United Kingdom to a spectacular conclusion to the first day of historic national commemorations marking her 70th birthday.

The appearance of the monarch late at night at Windsor Castle marked the beginning of a joyous celebration, which earlier in the day the Queen took to the balcony of Buckingham Palace, surrounded by her family.

But it was also announced that the head of state will miss a national Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on Friday after experiencing “discomfort” during Thursday’s events.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said the Queen was “very pleased” with her Trooping birthday parade, but given the travel and activities required to participate, she was reluctant to stay away from the service the next day.

The queen looked delighted as she watched the crowds of people who showed up on the first day of Thursday’s platinum anniversary celebrations.

Flaming tributes were lit in towns and cities in Northern Ireland, including Titanic Belfast and St Columbus Cathedral in Londonderry, while in Scotland a lighthouse was lit at Edinburgh Castle while playing the bagpipe.

Earlier in the day, the insolent Prince Louis stole the show from the palace’s famous façade until he covered his ears with his hands and let out a howl of excitement as a flying passing roared overhead.

The queen then reappeared, wearing sunglasses to watch the six-minute passage of more than 70 planes, including 15 RAF Typhoons in the formation of the number 70.
