A 90-year-old Kingston, Ontario man has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon.
Hajiasad Ahangaranth was riding his bicycle on Highway 15 when he was hit, according to Ontario Provincial Police, whose officers arrived at the scene just before 1 p.m.
The crash happened between Cunningham and Kingston Mills roads on the city’s east end, the OPP said.
Ahangaranth was seriously injured and was taken to Kingston General Hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, said Sgt. Jennifer Coles, adding that it could take several weeks for investigators to reach a conclusion.
