Knott’s Berry Farm closed Saturday after multiple fights between teenagers, Park said

BUENA PARK, Calif. (KABC) — Knotts Berry Farm was closed Saturday night after multiple fights were reported at the park, authorities said.

According to the Buena Park Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting.

Officers on the scene determined there was no shooting, but began investigating reports of a fight.

ABC7 viewers called Eyewitness News and reported seeing guests panicking.

Authorities closed the park around 8 p.m. and asked guests to avoid the area.

It is not clear if there are any injuries.

Meanwhile, Knott’s Berry Farm issued the following statement:

“The safety of Knott’s Berry Farm guests and associates is always our top priority. On Saturday evening, the decision was made to close the park 3 hours early due to unruly behavior and altercations involving a number of teenagers. This behavior was inconsistent with our park values ​​and was not the experience we want every guest to have while visiting Knott’s Berry Farm.”
