Lancaster: Urgent search for 12-year-old boy missing from hospital

A desperate search has been launched for a 12-year-old boy who went missing from a hospital.

Joseph Steely was last seen at Lancaster Royal Infirmary on Wednesday night.

He was receiving treatment after “riding his bike”.

Officers are now appealing for information about the missing 12-year-old, who they say urgently “needs to go back to hospital”.

The student has links to the Morecambe, Lancaster and Leyland areas.

A police spokesman said: “We are very concerned for the welfare of missing 12-year-old Joseph Steely, who was last seen at Lancaster Royal Infirmary on the night of 10 August 2022.

“Joseph is 5ft 2in tall, of slim build and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black trousers, dark and orange Karrimor trainers.

Joseph has a head injury after falling off his bike and has to go back to hospital. If you have any information please call 101.
