Shooting in Tulsa: Five killed in attack on medical clinic
Police have confirmed a possible bomb threat in the city related to the mass shooting at a medical facility in Tulsa on Wednesday, in which five people along with the shooter were left dead.
“We are the scene of 3325 Park Place North in terms of a possible bomb inside,” said Lynn Hamlin, a spokesman for the Muskoghi Police Department.
“At that moment, we evacuated the house and told everyone in the area to stay in their homes.”
A man armed with a rifle and a pistol killed four people on the campus of St. Francis Hospital before pointing the gun at himself, police said.
“Earlier this afternoon, we answered a call about a man armed with a rifle in Natalie’s building at St. Francis Hospital. This has become a situation of an active shooter, “the Tulsa Police Department wrote on Facebook.
“At this point, we can confirm that the shooter has been removed at this time. Currently, employees go through every room in the building and check for additional threats. We know there are many injured and potentially many victims. “
