A large fire broke out in a factory in Longton. Emergency services are at the scene of the accident on Sutherland Road.
The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had received a large number of calls reporting the blaze. Sutherland Road is closed by police officers.
Eyewitnesses say they saw huge streams of black smoke rising over the city. The fire appears to be at the Tegiva engine parts factory.
