Live from Apple’s main note for WWDC 2022 – TechCrunch

Happy first Monday in June. It’s time to relax and let some ecosystem updates take over for the next few hours. This morning at 10 a.m. PT, Apple begins the first day of WWDC with its usual keynote. You can watch the whole thing live here.

We will also follow it through our live blog. Matthew and Brian will be in charge this time, introducing you to the latest updates on iOS / iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and others (OS) – and hopefully there are some surprises as well. Here is a summary of what we expect to see at today’s big event.

Or TLDR:

  • iOS 16 with updated lock screen, including new widgets and, perhaps, a preamble to the always-on display
  • A breakthrough year for iPadOS 16, with more multitasking and support for work
  • A look at macOS 13 Mammoth, with some updated settings and applications
  • Improved battery mode for watchOS
  • Maybe hardware? Can we finally see the M2 chip for Mac and long-standing rumors of AR / VR headphones

Sit firmly right here, for the latest, starting at 10:00 PT / 13PM ET / 6PM BST.
