A huge fire broke out in Gravesend this afternoon (June 26th). Nine fire trucks arrived at the scene of a serious accident in the Jubilee Crescent.
The fire reportedly affected many properties along the way. The crews were called for the first time around 1:10 p.m.
The first images show crowds of people watching the fire pierce several houses. It appears that a number of properties have already suffered serious damage. It is not yet known if anyone was caught inside or injured.
The Kent Fire and Rescue Service said its firefighters were wearing breathing apparatus using a high-pressure hose jet as well as main hose nozzles to deal with the flames.
A spokesman said: “Kent’s fire and rescue service is currently at the scene of a fire in Jubilee Crescent, Gravesend, which affects many properties. There are currently nine fire trucks, a high-ranking vehicle and a technical rescue team.”
