Residents were evacuated from their homes after a house collapsed in Burnley this afternoon (June 20th).
Emergency services are on the scene after the incident, which is believed to have affected people living in several properties. Citizens are advised to avoid several roads in the area.
There are police cordons, including Sefton Terrace and Piccadilly Road. This is mostly a residential area a short distance from Burnley Manchester Road.
According to officials, there have been evacuations of several properties. A Lancashire police spokesman said on social media: “Please note that we are currently working on the demolition of a Sefton Terrace house in Burnley.
“Emergency services are on the scene and several properties have been evacuated. We ask people to avoid the area, especially around Piccadilly Road and Sefton Terrace. “
