Police have cordoned off a street in the city center, where there may be a scene on the ground.
Officers and paramedics were called to Argyle Street around 7:30 p.m. after people nearby said they heard shouts and battles in Campbell Square.
About seven police cars and an ambulance can be seen at the scene of the incident.
