A huge fire sent smoke rising in silhouette near Derbyshire. Social media users reported a large fire coming from the center of Burton.
It is not clear at this time what the full nature of the fire is. Chris Manning said: “A huge fire in the center of Burton. I hope no one is in danger.”
Smoke has been seen rising in the sky around Staffordshire.
A spokesman for the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to the Green Street area of Burton at 5:20 p.m. There are four pumps and one officer at the scene.
Initial reports to the fire department described the incident as a “canopy fire”.
