Bus services were diverted to the Lye area of Dudley after armed violence erupted tonight (Thursday, May 5th). The news was shared by National Express West Midlands on Twitter at 6:25 p.m.
There was a deviation on Cross Wax, and the break was expected to continue “for a while”. A spokesman for the bus company said: “Update to interrupt the service. The diversion of service 7 in Cross Walks, Lye is likely to continue for some time, due to a police incident.”
A spokesman for the West Midlands police confirmed that two men had been arrested after an incident in which “weapons were used”.
