Liverpool are on the verge of a successful transfer, while the truth about Erling Haaland comes out

Here is your digest from Liverpool on Wednesday, May 11th.

Haaland’s signing is not the end

Man City failed to sign Harry Kane last summer, but this year they seem to have their own man.

Pep Guardiola’s team is about to make a deal for Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian was in high demand for several seasons with clubs from all over Europe lining up for his signature, with the Premier League team eventually winning.

As Citizens add Haaland to their ranks, there is a belief among football fans and the media that City will be unstoppable given the level they have played this season without a recognized striker in their ranks. However, they still have 89 goals in the league alone.

Haaland’s signing may be a signal to return to the days when City could count on a striker to find the back of the net 20 times in the league, but there is no guarantee that he will settle in England and his signature should not put end of Liverpool’s chances for local silver next season or beyond.

Manet is wanted in Spain

Liverpool are reportedly “on the verge” of making a deal for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsey, in a deal that could rise to £ 6 million with extras included.

The report adds that the Scottish Premiership team is “coming to terms” with the loss of its young star, who is also being chased by Leeds United and several other teams in England and Italy. Leeds United tried to sign the Scot through the January transfer window, but failed.

Ramsey would suggest a possible rotation option for Trent Alexander-Arnold and could lead to the end of Neco Williams’ time at the club, although he made a positive impression while on loan at Fulham.
