Mika Richards and Riyad Marez miss the idea of Liverpool and Man City
Football, like comedy, is often about time. You can have the best material in the world, but if the performance is not correct or the environment is not favorable, then it will be difficult to achieve a satisfactory payout.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool certainly had no problems with the first in the Premier League, accumulating a total of over 90 points for the third time in four seasons.
The problem, however, is that they achieved it during the era when Pep Guardiola led Manchester City, a union that, after the Catalan has spent a season to cope with English football, routinely takes full advantage of the obvious advantages offered by the Etihad.
In terms of weather, it could not be worse for Liverpool, which has waited almost three decades to deserve a comparison with the Reds’ teams from the past days of glory.
Klopp shrugged metaphorically when, shortly after missing the title again on Sunday, he was asked if Liverpool would have won more championships during his tenure if City had not been so dominant.
