Liverpool’s double transfer could solve Jürgen Klopp’s two problems in one quick £ 83 million swing

Looking at the Liverpool team and the season they have just created, there are not many gaps on the surface that need to be filled.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story of Julian Ward’s job as his first summer as athletic director, even after signing Louis Diaz with big money in January.

Wild Origi is leaving and has an important contribution in terms of goals, but also for giving Liverpool a plan B and an alternative option when the Reds had to turn the game around.

Sadio Mane was a vital player for Jurgen Klopp, but he is ready to move on, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino could follow suit, while others such as Neco Williams and Nat Phillips are on loan and will be available at the right price.

Those on the periphery of the team will need an adequate replacement if Liverpool want to win the four trophies again next season, while Manet is perhaps their best player in the recent match.

However, in addition to replacing those who are on the way, there are considerations that must be taken into account in order to try to make next season even better than this one. There are still small changes that Liverpool can make with their list to ensure that all gaps are filled.

A reserve right-back in the same model as Trent Alexander-Arnold will be like that, as Costas Tsimikas provided Andy Robertson and Calvin Ramsey of Aberdeen could be that man.

Natural number six to help Fabinho take on this load would be another, while Steven Gerrard led the calls for a goal scorer after the Champions League final, as this area of the field has changed.

There is an argument that as Jordan Henderson continues to age, his position could become more of a rotating midfielder. But in some form Liverpool are aware that they will need another player in this position either this summer or next.

21-year-old Dominique Schoboslai, who scored 10 goals and gave nine assists (six goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga) from the midfield last season, could fit well in their central zones.

The Hungarian is an excellent press and is experienced, although he is at an age when he can still improve significantly, and he is also a big fan of Jurgen Klopp.

“I really like Klopp,” Shoboslay said earlier in the year. “What a human being he is. The way he can inspire his players is amazing. Even when they have nothing, they can stand up and its players can achieve anything. To me, he is the best manager [in the world]”

It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s going to be too convinced, and Liverpool have, of course, done a lot of business with Red Bull in the past.

This leads well to Christopher Nkunku, the striker with free goals, who most of Europe have noticed this season due to his incredible form.

In 51 appearances this season in all competitions, he has either scored or assisted 55 goals, with a goal contribution every 59 minutes in the Champions League, where Leipzig was in the same group as Manchester City and PSG.

Nkunku, as was the case with most of Liverpool’s attacking signings under Klopp, can play centrally or widely, and can also play at the top of the midfield as more than number 10. He is versatile and guarantees a number of goals – both the biggest boxes Liverpool want to fill.

Schoboslay is valued at £ 25 million by Transfermarkt and Nkunku at £ 58 million. None of these prices seems so far from the goal. With their respective qualities proven in RB Leipzig, Liverpool could solve both major problems with the team in one fell swoop.
