Liz Truss gets brutally honest feedback from kids during the campaign

Liz Truss may be leading the polls in the race to be the next prime minister, but she was not a hit with some pupils on a recent school visit.

The Foreign Secretary visited a school in Peterborough on Thursday and it got off to a rocky start.

After she asked one child his name, he quickly summed up the sentiment by declaring, “This is so embarrassing.”

When Mrs. Truss asked the same student to give her a tour of the school, he stated, “Why was I chosen for this?”

Another child asked Mrs Truss where Boris Johnson was before saying: “Do me a favor when you become Prime Minister – kick him out.”

In a rather sheepish tone, Mrs Truss replied: “Boris is back at No. 10 Downing Street… he’ll have to move out at this point, it’s true.”
