Love Island star Amber wonders if Liam and Millie ‘staged’ split

This summer, Love Island contestant Amber Beckford is unconvinced by Liam Reardon and Millie Court’s split.

The winning couple of 2021, they announced the end of their relationship via Instagram this week, much to everyone’s shock.

Appearing on an episode of the reality show with Will Njobwu alongside vlogger Louis Ball, Amber continued to speculate: ‘Maybe it’s like a stage.

“What a coincidence [to split now]. I’m sorry… maybe they’re going through a tough time,” she added, before asking: “I wonder what happened?”

Lewis said: “A leopard never changes its spots! And also, [Liam] was 21 and [Millie] was 26 and girls are so emotionally mature than boys now… i don’t know.

“It’s really sad because they were cute and they obviously won.”

In her initial message, Millie, from Essex, wrote to her fans: ‘Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation, Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have split up.

“Nothing will ever take away the amazing experience we’ve shared on Love Island and over the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does. We’re both ready for new chapters and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

The Welsh singer told his own social media followers at the same time: “Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting our relationship.

“We will both continue to be friends and I will remain Millie’s biggest supporter in everything she does and I know she will always do amazing. We’re both ready for new chapters and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch-up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
