Before the question period in the British Columbia legislature on Wednesday, it was the question period.
The very nervous Port Moody-Coquitlam MLA Rick Glumac used his time allotted to members for a statement to propose marriage to his partner Haven Lurbiecki.
“I just want to say that you fill my heart with love and I’m not afraid to share it with everyone. Will you marry me? ”Glumac asked.

To Glumak’s great relief, Luriecki said yes to the clapping of MLAs filling the hall.

Glumak told the house that his current fiancé was “an amazing man with such a big heart” and a passion to make the world a better place.

Following the proposal to the legislature, Glumak went up to the public gallery and presented Lurbetski with the ring.
