One person was taken to hospital after an M5 crash
One person was taken to hospital after the M5 crash today.
Fire crews from Avonmouth, Pill and Clevedon are at the scene of the accident on the north lane of the highway between Clevedon and Portishead.
One driver got out of his car before the crews arrived. Fire crews had to help a second person get out of their car.
A spokesman for the Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Avonmouth, Pill and Clevedon were called in at 5:41 a.m. to signal a collision between junctions 20 and 19 north on the M5.
“Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an RTC between two vehicles. An adult saved himself before the arrival of the crews and was assessed by our colleagues from the ambulance at the scene. Firefighters helped a second adult get out of their car and they were taken to hospital.
“Apart from ambulance crews, police and highways were also present.”
